Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Timber Wolf Lake

Timber Wolf Lake

Good afternoon, Timber Wolf Lake, this is Kerry.

"As a prisoner of for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worth of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called to one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." -Ephesians 4:1-6

There is so much I could say about this month. About how I have never felt so loved, how I have never laughed harder, or cried more for the brokenness of our world. My favorite memory though has to be the night I was convinced and convinced everyone else that the Northern Lights were going to be visible at camp. Some of my favorite gals and I bundled up and sat by the lake while praying, singing, and telling our most embarrassing moments to each other. It was joy in the simplest of forms - no phones, no distractions, just six girls present together. As the night went on we saw shooting stars, but no lights. As 2am rolled around girls started to go back into our cabin because most of us had to be up at 7am to start work, but my friend Hannah stayed up with me just as confident as I was that these lights were going to show themselves. We got to that point where you are so exhausted that life starts to become raw, real, and beautiful. We shared our hearts and also thought we were being attacked by the Timber Wolf (it was just a cat). Around 4am we gave into the fact that tonight was not the night we would see the Northern Lights, but I don't think any of us really missed it.

Thankful to spend a month serving the Lord in Lake City, Michigan. If I could I would post a picture of every single person I met with a page describing why they are so awesome. I really would. I'm pretty sure heaven looks a lot like a Young Life camp.
